Duncan - Male - 8 mo old - With long, Hound looking ears, sporty spots, Lab shaped head and beautiful brindle markings - Duncan is a mix of many breeds. This diversity creates the best temperaments and personalities in mixed breed dogs.

He is about 8 months old and weighs 45 lbs as of October 20. He is almost full grown. He is housebroken, crate trained, great with dogs and people. Very happy boy with a lot of love to share. He currently enjoys spending time with friends at daycare a few times a week.

Duncan is smart and will thrive in a home where people can stimulate his mind and body. He's active and eager to please. 

Reba - Female - 2 years old - This precious girl weighs about 50 lbs. Heartworm negative, spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She loves other dogs, people and walks great on a leash. She is working on her housebreaking skills.

Her back story is that she was found as a stray in a Walmart parking lot in MS. She can come to VT in November if we can secure a foster home for her.

Maizie - Female - 5 yrs - She is likely a brown and tan Australian shepherd mix. Mazie enjoys going on walks, playing with toys and ending the day with a cuddle. She is an incredibly smart dog who is eager to learn. She does well with both cats and dogs. Maizie loves going for car rides and seeing new places! She is just happy to be by your side and is so eager to please you. Maizie is laid back and loves to hang out throughout the day.

She is house trained and crate trained. She does excellent on a leash though we are still learning how to walk in a straight line! She does not pull and is very responsive to collar pressure. She has been spayed, is heartworm negative and taking prevention. Maizie weighs about 40 lbs and is fully grown. She will reach us on 10/21.

Andy - Male - 4.5 years old - Adopted from us as a young puppy and spent all of his life here in VT. He weighs about 34 pounds. He has been neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative and taking preventions.

He loves going to daycare twice a week, gets along well with other dogs and currently shares his home peacefully with 2 cats. They are good friends. 

Andy is housebroken, crate trained, and knows some commands. He is the perfect lap dog size.

His DNA test results show a wonderful mix of breeds including:  

25% Labrador Retriever
12.5% English Foxhound
12.5% Japanese Shiba Inu
12.5% Rottweiler
37.5% Breed Group(s) Terrier, Hound 
 
He is described as moderately active, eager to play, excited to join his people for adventures, but does not need to be in motion to be happy. If you want to go for a walk, he's happy to go.  If you are having a quiet day, Andy is okay with that, too. Easy going boy!  Andy is in VT now.

Betty - Female- Almost 1 year old - This 21 lbs lap dog was used by a backyard breeder in MS. She is now in a loving foster home enjoying the good life while sleeping on comfortable blankets and 2-3 healthy meals a day.

Betty is laid back despite her young age. She gets along great with dogs and is eager to please people. She’s housebroken and eager to learn new thing. If we can find Betty a VT foster home, she can come to us at the end of November.

Nelly- Female - 18 mo old - She has the most gorgeous amber brown eyes and lovely brindle coat. But, as pretty as she is, it's her sweet nature, and eagerness to please that have endeared her to all of us.

Nelly loves attention and is very affectionate in return. She is gentle, mild-mannered and very mindful of her surroundings. Nelly will be a treasured member of the family.

She is friendly and playful with other dogs, and enjoys spending time with people. She is housebroken and crate trained,

She weighs about 42 lbs and is about as large as she will be as an adult. She will arrive in VT on 10/21.

Landon - Male - 10-11 months old. We don’t know his breed without DNA testing, but we think he’s a black lab mix. Landon is good with cats & dogs; and reported as an "easy keeper". He weighs about 45 lbs.

Great with dogs and cats. Landon is housebroken. He has not been in a crate, but is trustworthy.and will be confirming that once he’s in VT on 10/21.

Ruth - Female - almost 1 year old, She was saved from a backyard breeder and is sweet as pie. She is great with all dogs and can be cat-tested on request. She has been spayed, tested negative for heartworm disease & is up to date on all vaccines and monthly preventions.

Ruth is housebroken and enjoys spending time with people. She’s an ideal size for cuddling at 18 lbs.

If we can find her a foster home, she can travel to VT mid November.
