Birdie
Meet Birdie our newest arrival!
Birdie is a 2-year-old Heeler mix who’s equal parts sweetheart and silly sidekick. Weighing in at 30 pounds, she’s the perfect size for an adventure buddy - and a lap dog in her own mind.
Birdie is a happy, wiggly girl who loves people (especially kids!) and tends to show her affection by sitting on you instead of next to you. She can get a little excitable, so grade schools kids and up would be best. Birdie is friendly and social, with a joyful energy that fills the room. Having another playful dog companion who can keep up, or being an only dog with an active family would be ideal.
She’s crate trained (with a little encouragement), house trained, and knows basic commands like sit. Birdie adores treats, playing fetch, going for car rides, and herding just about anything that moves, including the vacuum and stroller! She may bark at new people at first but quickly melts into cuddles once she realizes they’re friends.
Birdie would thrive in a home that appreciates her enthusiasm and zest for life. No cats for this cowgirl, please, but plenty of love, playtime, and belly rubs are a must.
Our adoption fee is $400, which includes age-appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, and Rabies), neutering, worming, microchipping, and a health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming, and similar dog-related products and services are provided.
