This adorable pup was rescued near Crossville, AL where she had been living outside as a stray with her 4 siblings - but no mom.  This little family was fortunate to have been taken in by a local rescuer who has a heart of gold.   She fed the puppies, obtained veterinary care and vaccines, and cared for these little ones in her home until they were old enough to travel to us in VT.

They arrived very late at night - amid the falling snow, freezing rain and cold VT winter air.  Nestle is nice and warm now, in one of our local foster homes, with a full belly, a soft bed and a family to love her.

Nestle is estimated to be 3 months old and she weighs 11 lbs. She is up to date on her vaccines & has been regularly dewormed. She is working on her house breaking and crate training skills - and is at the perfect age to master them.

We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are included in Nestle's family tree. We see Shepherd, Lab, and maybe Black Mouth Cur - but this is only a guess.  Based on her current size and rate of growth, we expect her to reach 40-50 pounds as an adult.

Her foster mom shared: "Nestle is a doll and full of personality and bounce. She LOVES the snow so much already!"
