Mars was surrendered to a high kill shelter in LA. Our rescue partner asked if we could help. One look at his adorable wrinkly face and floppy ears - and we fell in love. He has been in a loving foster care home since he was about 4 weeks old, completed his month long quarantine then traveled to VT. He is well socialized, friendly, curious and affectionate. Mars is thriving in our foster home with another dog and a dog savvy cat.

House broken and crate trained, most of the hard work has been done. He loves to play with other dogs and will do best in a home where he has a playmate.  Mars enjoys going for a walk once or twice a day then cuddling with his people. He's not the type of pup who will do well stuck in a crate all day.  He is smart, active and a wonderful companion to bring to work with you. Mars would also enjoy doggie daycare a few days a week.

From Mars' foster mom :

Mars is quickly learning many new skills like Sit and Look! He loves to use his Kong ball toy for at least one meal to help keep his mind working.  He is a champ in his crate over night and often sleeps the whole night without making a peep.

Mars would do best in a home with another dog that he can play and snuggle with! He loves to romp around with his foster fur siblings! Mars would also love a family who is fairly  active and would take him on their adventures.

Mars would love to find his forever home and has so much love to give! He is a sweetheart!
