Luna

Luna

Luna9_COver.jpg

This petite princess is Luna! She is about 7-8 months old and weights 35 lbs. She gets along great with other dogs, loves people, and is good with cats. She was rescued from a city shelter in Vicksburg, MS.

Luna is housebroken and crate trained. She sees her crate as a safe place and likes to bring toys inside to play with. At night she brings a special toy or two up to bed to chew or cuddle with. She enjoys sleeping all curled up right next to her foster mom and will do best in a home where she can continue to enjoy this bonding experience.

We don’t know her past, but we don’t think Luna had a chance to experience a carefree life as a puppy. Her play consists of what is expected of an 8 month old with sporadic bursts of young puppy-like activity. Luna is focused, does well on car rides and loves a good belly rub.

She is very smart and will thrive with experienced dog owners who will be able to take her on adventures that continue to work her body and mind.

We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in her genetic background. Our best guess is that she is a Whippet mix with her long, slender build and markings. She may have White Shepherd in her family tree and Catahoula. We expect her to reach about 40-45 pounds as an adult, but we can not guarantee size at maturity.
