Finn

Finn

Finn is such a cool guy - smart, goofy, lovable, and super easy-going! He loves to play with other dogs, is learning to snuggle and just chill out on the couch, and practicing walking on a leash (although he’s easily distracted). He’s about 8 months old, food motivated and eager to please.

His foster mom shared:

Crate trained: Yep, though needs some encouragement to go in as he discovers there are cushier places to nap.

Housebroken:
If he starts pacing/wandering endlessly, he needs to go out.

Learning to walk on a leash: Yes, he is an inconsistent puller. He’ll have moments of soft-leash brilliance and moments where it feels like he’s dragging me. With consistent training & practice, he will learn.

Snuggler: When he stops going long enough to finally crash, he is a cuddly boy! He is learning to nap loose in the house with other things going on.

He’s an active dog, both mentally and physically, and will need a home that is prepared to give him regular, frequent exercise - more than a walk a day. He is ready for adventures!

We can’t say for sure what breeds are in him without a DNA test, but he acts like a Lab in many ways. We are working with him on the concept of personal space - he has no idea how large he is. He never met a stranger and is highly food motivated.

Finn is a work in progress, learning more every day. He even managed Sit/Wait for his dinner bowl last night without assistance!! Someone is going to be a very lucky owner with this guy!

We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in his genetic background. Our best guess based is that he is a Chocolate Lab mix. We expect him to reach 55-60 pounds as an adult, but we can not guarantee size at maturity.
