Dudley was rescued near Florence, SC where he had been living outside as a stray with several siblings and his mom. It's getting colder so volunteers offered them food and tried to bring them inside. It took a while, but they were able to successfully save Dudley and his brother, Jasper.

The brothers have been in a foster home for 30 days waiting out their quarantine before transport.  They arrived in VT on December 16th and are relaxing in foster care.  Dudley was wary at first, but within a few hours was romping and playing with his foster sisters who adore him.  He plays great with other dogs.

Dudley is estimated to be 10-12 weeks old and he weighs 30 lbs. He is up to date on his vaccines and has been regularly dewormed. Dudley is house broken and crate trained.

We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are included in Dudley's mix. We see Newfoundland, Sheepdog, Aussie, St. Bernard, and maybe Golden Retriever.  Based on his current size, our vet in SC feels he will reach 75-90 lbs an adult.

Dudley's foster mom shared:
"Dudley LOVES toys and I don't think he's ever had anything cushiony like a couch to sleep on . He loves the dog bed. He slept all night in his crate 11 pm - 7 am and didn't make a peep."

“This new thing called TV is wild! Plus my new foster dad lets me chew my bone on this big cushion they call a couch!
