Blaze is an adventurous pup who likes to be involved in what’s going on. He is active, but also very sweet and cuddly. He is a curious pup who likes to explore and is eager to learn how to please his people.
He is currently sharing a crate with one of is brothers and is doing a great job keeping the crate dry. Blaze is still working on his housebreaking skills, but by following a regular schedule of frequent breaks he is making great progress.
He has the sweetest, wisest eyes. Even though he is SO adventurous and SO brave and wants to be in the know of every single thing...when you hold him he just stares right at you. So happy and content. He loves to come and sit in your lap to touch base before going off on his next adventure.
Blaze loves to play with other dogs. He hasn’t met any cats yet, but this is a great age for an introduction.
His foster mom shared:
Developmentally Blaze is right on track. He’s attentive and learning. A very handsome little guy with floppy ears and soft fur. He will make a great companion for an active person. Blaze’s perfect life would be shared with someone who plans to take him outdoors on a regular basis for fun. Hiking, biking, swimming, running...including him in anything they can. He likes to be with his people and is so motivated to please.
We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in his genetic background. Our best guess is Australian Shepherd, Cattle Dog, Blue Heeler, and Hound mix. We expect the pups to reach 35-45 lbs as adults, but we can not guarantee size at maturity. Their mom has the appearance of a black Lab mix and weighs about 40 lbs.
