Tug

tug

Tug was originally rescued by VT Dog Rescue in the summer of 2015. He came from a run-down, rural, high kill shelter in SC. We brought him to VT, completed his vetting and placed him in one of our foster homes while we reviewed his applications. We matched him with an amazing couple who have done a wonderful job raising him.

Now, almost 2 years later, Tug's people have developed medical illnesses that make it challenging for them walk.  It is with great sadness they reached the decision to contact us about finding him a new home.

Tug is a well trained, smart, affectionate Lab mix who has never met a stranger.

  • Crate trained - and puts himself to bed at night
  • House broken
  • Great leash skills
  • Knows many commands; Leave it, Down, Sit, Stay, Come
  • Does not jump up on kitchen counters
  • Well behaved
  • Loves all people - adults and children
  • Enjoys playing with other dogs; male, female, large, small
  • Food motivated - will do anything for treats
  • Travels well in the car

This handsome Lab mix is up to date on vaccines (medical records will be provided), already neutered, and maintained on a monthly heartworm preventative. If you would like to meet with Tug, send us an application.

Our adoption fee is $350 which includes age appropriate vaccines (Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, Rabies), spay/neuter, worming, microchipping, and health exam.
